HAVA is committed to quality control of the care that the General Practitioners provide to the Aruban population.
The HAVA GP’s aim to offer optimal and effective primary care to the patient who wants treatment.
If the situation arises that you as a patient have complaints about your GP’s actions, the organization of your GP’s office, the way an employee talks to you or deals with you, we ask you to make this known to your GP as soon as possible.
Your GP will subsequently contact you as soon as possible.
The majority of the HAVA GP’s is affiliated with the ‘Klachtencommissie Huisartsen’, which is Dutch for the complaints committee in connection to General Practitioner’s care.
If you do not feel sufficiently heard by your GP, or you do not want or dare to contact your GP directly, you can submit your discontent with the processing or the handling of your complaint to the complaints committee.
